(c) The woman's menstrual periods have not resumed, the infant is fed breastmilk exclusively, and the infant is less than six months old.

Only two of the criteria are met: the woman is amenorrheic, and the child is less than six months old.

Although the child is fed breastmilk exclusively, it does not say how often the woman is breastfeeding. Also, she may be expressing her milk for her baby. The frequent suckling by an infant who is fully or nearly fully breastfed triggers a hormonal response to suppress ovulation. This frequent suckling is required for a woman to use LAM.
